What is Eldwyn?

Eldwyn is an iOS app for scanning and managing your Magic: The Gathering card collection. Point your camera at any card to identify it instantly, then organize your collection into binders, build decks, and track prices.

How do I scan a card?

Open the Scanner tab and position your card in view. The app detects the card automatically using artwork recognition and identifies it in under 200 milliseconds. For best results, use good lighting and hold your phone steady.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Eldwyn downloads the complete card database when you first open the app, so scanning, searching, and managing your collection all work offline. An internet connection is only needed to load card images and to download database updates.

How do I organize my cards?

After scanning a card, you can add it to a binder or deck. Binders mirror your physical collection and let you track quantities, conditions, languages, and foil status. You can create as many binders as you need.

Can I import decklists from other apps?

Yes. Eldwyn supports importing decklists from Moxfield, Archidekt, and other popular deck-building sites. You can also browse and import from a library of 800+ preconstructed decks including all Commander decks.

Can I export my collection?

Yes. You can export your collection data as a CSV file from the app's settings. This makes it easy to back up your data or share it with other tools.

The scanner isn't recognizing my card. What should I do?

Make sure the card is well-lit and not covered by glare or shadows. Hold your phone steady and position the card so the card frame is fully visible. The app uses artwork recognition as its primary method, with text recognition as a fallback for cards that are harder to identify.

Does the scanner work with foil and alternate-art cards?

In most cases, yes. The scanner recognizes cards by their artwork. Foil glare can occasionally interfere with recognition, so try adjusting the angle to reduce reflections.

Where do card prices come from?

Card prices are provided by Scryfall and represent daily market estimates in USD and EUR. These are approximate values — always check with sellers for final pricing.

How often is the card database updated?

The card database is updated daily with new sets, cards, and prices. The app checks for updates automatically on launch, but you can limit updates to Wi-Fi only or check manually from the Settings screen.

Is my collection data stored on your servers?

No. All your collection data is stored locally on your device. Eldwyn does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What happens if I delete the app?

Since all data is stored on your device, deleting the app will permanently remove your collection data. We recommend exporting your collection as a CSV backup before uninstalling.
